Choose Where to Stay: Germany City Guides
The short answer
Open Berlin for a neighbourhood-led choice, or Munich to compare the Old Town, station side and northern Schwabing.

Choose Berlin or Munich
Open the Berlin area guide to compare three bases. Start around Rosenthaler Platz in Mitte. Look at Prenzlauer Berg or the Oranienplatz part of Kreuzberg for a different stay. Match the setting to your days and evenings. The hotels include a family-suite option and a historic pool that can close for events.
The Munich area guide compares the Old Town with a base near the main station and one in northern Schwabing. Choose what matters most. You may want the old streets outside your door, easy rail days or a room with a balcony.
Choose the room after the area
A district name can cover more than one useful base. Each guide names the hotel and street behind its choices. Check the route from those streets to your own plans. A broad central label does not settle every journey.
Room details can change the result. A pool may close for an event. Rooms beside each other may need a request. A balcony or courtyard view may come with just one room type. Check the room you can book.
Check the whole arrival
Use the official airport and local transport sources linked in each guide. Check the date, final street leg and return journey. Normal service descriptions do not replace current disruption notices.
For another destination, return to the city and country finder. To flag a correction, send the page and source so the affected fact can be checked again.
