Choose Where to Stay: South Korea City Guides

By Best Area To Stay In editorial desk ·

The short answer

Choose Seoul for neighbourhood and bed-layout choices, or Busan to compare an inland city base with distinct waterfront stays.

Choose your Seoul base

The Seoul area guide compares Myeongdong with Insadong and Hongdae. Start with the places you will use each day. A centre-led visit can call for a different base from evenings in another part of town.

The checked hotels have distinct room layouts. If separate beds matter, read the actual category. A room for three people does not always mean three single beds. The guide also separates a hot-bath feature from a pool claim.

Compare Busan settings

The Busan area guide compares Seomyeon with Marine City and Yeongdo. Choose whether you want an inland base or time beside the water. The two waterfront choices sit in different parts of the city.

A district name is only a start. Marine City is a specific setting within Haeundae. It does not mean the room is on the main sandy-beach strip. A harbour hotel can also have rooms with different views. Check the category you will book.

Plan the full arrival

Use the airport and station on your ticket. In Seoul, check the airport train's stopping pattern. In Busan, plan the final city leg after the airport or intercity railway arrival.

Each guide gives full hotel streets and source links. Compare the entrance and room with your party's needs before payment. Use the city and country finder for another stop. To flag a fact, send the page and source.
